What if I do not have PayPal?
Use the payment methods shown at checkout. You only need a PayPal account if you choose PayPal.
Do you offer a discount for more than one license?
Yes. Contact us and we will talk it through.
What software do I need?
Once the font is installed, it works in any program that sets type: Microsoft Office, Adobe apps, and most other text tools. OpenType extras, such as alternate glyphs, need a program that can show a glyph panel.
How do I use the extra glyphs?
Check that your program can reach alternate characters before you buy a font for those glyphs. The glyph grid on the font page shows what is in the file.
In Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, open Type > Glyphs. In current Photoshop, open Window > Glyphs. Other programs need their own character map.
Which licenses do you sell?
Standard, Extended & Logo, and Corporate. The scope of each one is on the license page.
Can I use a font in a logo?
Yes. A logo that is not registered as a trademark is included with Standard. Registering one logo or wordmark as a trademark requires Extended & Logo.
That license belongs to the brand that will register the mark. A designer may buy it for the client, but the client has to be named as the licensed entity.
Can I send the font files to a client?
No. Do not share the font files. If the client needs the files, they buy or download them from Dark Metal Font.
A client, agency, or other organization that is not part of your studio needs its own license.
Can I sell products made with the font?
Yes, within the license you bought. Standard covers finished products up to 5,000 units. Extended & Logo and Corporate cover unlimited sales.
Can I include the font in a template I sell?
No. Do not put the font files inside a poster, card, logo, or other template. You may outline or rasterize the lettering so the design still displays, as long as the file is not a usable font.
Can I resell the font?
No. Dark Metal Font files cannot be resold, redistributed, or sublicensed.
Can I convert a font into a webfont?
You may use the font on a website inside your license. Standard covers one website with up to 10,000 visitors a month. Extended & Logo covers unlimited monthly views. Do not offer the font files as a download, including a webfont kit.
Can I share a download with a friend or on a blog?
No. Share the Dark Metal Font site so they can download or buy the font themselves.
Can I get a refund if the font is later free somewhere else?
No. A later free offer, on this site or another marketplace, is not a reason to refund a purchase you already made.
