This end user license agreement covers the font software from Dark Metal Font. Buying or downloading a font gives you a license to use the files. It does not make you the owner of the font.

01 Agreement

By buying, downloading, installing, or using a Dark Metal Font file, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download or use the files.

This EULA covers the font software. Use of the website is covered by the terms. The license page states what each paid tier allows.

02 License

Dark Metal Font grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the font files you bought or downloaded. The license starts when the order is complete, or when a free font is downloaded from this site.

Paid fonts are sold as Standard, Extended & Logo, or Corporate. Each tier has its own users, installations, and permitted uses. That scope is on the license page. A free font follows the license stated on that font.

A designer or studio may buy Extended & Logo for a client. The client must be named as the licensed entity. That license belongs to that one brand.

03 What you may do

You may install the font for the licensed users and use it to set type in designs, as long as the use fits the tier you bought.

You may deliver finished work that uses the font, including logos, wordmarks, posters, and covers. You may outline or rasterize the lettering so a design still displays, as long as the delivered file is not a usable font.

04 What you may not do

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, or give away the font files.
  • Send the original font files to a client, printer, or other person who does not hold their own license.
  • Put the font files inside a template, app, theme, or other product that someone else can install.
  • Use one license for more than one unrelated client, company, or brand.
  • Transfer the license to another person or brand, except where the license page allows a designer to buy for a named client.
  • Modify the font and distribute that modified font as a font.
  • Register a Dark Metal Font name, logo, or font name as your trademark.

05 Ownership

Dark Metal Font owns the font software, the names of the fonts, and the related marks. Your license does not transfer that ownership.

You keep ownership of the original artwork you create. That ownership does not include the font files used to make it.

06 Warranty and liability

The font software is provided as is, without an express or implied warranty, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

Dark Metal Font is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or other damages arising from the use of a font, to the extent the law allows that limit.

07 End of the license

If you break this EULA, the license ends. You must then stop using the font and delete the font files from your computers.

Designs you already finished and delivered while the license was valid may stay in use. You may not keep using the font files to make new work after the license ends.
